Job/Internship Description
Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and the Wolfram Language, has an exciting opportunity for a Library & Information Services Intern. Wolfram Research's in-house library serves departments throughout the company by providing resources and materials to hundreds of on- and offsite employees. Responsibilities * Organizing Wolfram Research's physical library holdings * Handling magazine and periodical offerings, loans/returns, book labeling and cataloging, shelving and readying items for archive storage as needed * Fielding questions from employees and becoming familiar with how to access various resources * Assisting with digital library requests via the library's Request Tracker (RT) queue as needed Qualifications * In pursuit of a degree in library science or information services and/or has worked in a library or archival setting * Attention to detail * Ability to work independently and inquisitively * Strong oral and written communication skills * Willingness to be creative in problem-solving and research Preferred qualifications * Experience with technical or academic research preferred * Knowledge of the Wolfram Language or other Wolfram technologies preferred Location: Champaign, Illinois Wolfram is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at its company.
