The OpportunityMarvell is a leading provider of innovative storage technologies, including ultra-fast read channels, high-performance processors, leading edge transceivers, highly efficient analog designs, and powerful cryptographic engines. These solutions address all segments of the hard disk drive (HDD) and solid-state drive (SSD) electronics markets. Many of the same technologies have been utilized in Marvell storage system solutions products, powering PCs, servers, cloud, and enterprise systems.

Job Responsibilities:

This position in particular is focusing onflash controllerIP. The challenge of this position asSr. StaffEngineeris to have deep understanding ofNAND protocol and ourflash controllerIP architecture. Then you will need to join discussion session of architecturedefinition and come up with micro-architecture based on that. Besides, you will also need to work on RTL implementation, debugging with verification engineers, writing design spec, and performance silicon issue trouble shooting etc..

Responsibilities:
o Develop next generation SSD controller utilizing advanced digital technologies.

  • RTL coding for key IPs in SSD controller.
  • Provide design documentation, description and information to internal and external customers.
  • Synthesis and timing closure.
  • Perform Lint, CDC and LEC.
  • Perform power and performance analysis for various types of IPs.
  • Perform functional verification of design on block and system level.

Requirements:

Our team is building key IPs in SSD controller, like NVMe IP and flash controller IP. These IPs decide the functions and performance of SSD controller. Due to broad range of market targets, this team is required to make design flexible to support requirement from different market segments in a short period of time. This position will expose to this design technic and as well all algorithms like interface with host and NAND and advanced LDPC error correcting technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MSEE or related field, with3+ years of experience in digital design
  • Hands-on experience on RTL coding and synthesis/timing closure
  • Hands-on experience on writing design documents.
  • Familiarity of ASIC design flow

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Programming Skills in Scripting/programming language like PERL/Python, TCL & C/C++, in a Unix type environment, with good problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of SSD controller architecture is a big plus.
