The OpportunityOur team is building key IPs in SSD controller, like flash controller IP and NVMe IP. These IPs decide the functions and performance of SSD controller. Due to broad range of market targets, this team is required to make design flexible to support requirement from different market segments in a short period of time. This position will expose to this design technic and as well all algorithms like interface with host and NAND.
This position in particular is focusing on flash controller IP. The challenge of this position as Staff Digital Designer is to have deep understanding of NAND protocol and our flash controller IP architecture. Then you will need to join discussion session of architecture definition and come up with micro-architecture based on that. • Engage early with SSD ASIC architecture team and design team to gain understanding of System Architecture and module design
  • Map SSD controller Microarchitecture blocks into Simulator model design and implement using SystemC/TLM2
  • Integrate modules into complete SSD system and verify the system functions with Firmware written in C/C++
  • Define Performance measurement methodology to showcase system performance, collect data for performance matrices like latency/throughput/module resource occupancies and publish collateral to support findings under various Enterprise/Cloud/Datacenter application workloads
  • Analyze the collected results to identify Microarchitecture bottlenecks and work with the System and ASIC Architects to resolve and fix issues
  • Propose innovative Architecture solutions to improve the SSD Power and Performance
  • Closely work with marketing teams and customers to ensure successful showcase of product features
