The Opportunity

Automotive PHY digital design group

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, test, and document micro-architecture and RTL for reasonably complex design blocks (>1M gates).
  • Work closely with system architecture and chip architecture teams to come up with micro-architecture and design specification.
  • Participate in the full design development cycle, end-to-end, from writing micro-architecture docs, RTL coding, Lint Rule checking, CDC, Synthesis, Specifications of timing constraints and working closely for timing closure.
  • Closely work with design verification teams to review test-plans and execution of test coverage, bring up block tests on silicon during lab testing, and maintenance of designed blocks are reusable IPs. Participate in block level and chip level verification.
  • Evaluate and participate in improving design and verification methodologies including automating processes or evaluating state-of-the-art tools.

Requirements:

  • MSEE with 3-6 years of relevant IC design experience.
  • The candidate must possess demonstrated work experience in several of following areas:
  • Creating micro-architectural specs from standards, architectural specifications
  • Digital Logic design, Verilog /SystemVerilog RTL coding
  • Creating reusable design components, clock/reset modules, lower power management modules, multiple clock domain based designs
  • Understanding of digital design flow including RTL simulation, logic synthesis, timing constraints, timing closure, STA, gate level simulation, CDC, equivalence checking
  • Design verification - unit/chip level, using UVM, code coverage, functional coverage.
