Position Summary: VP, Store Operations

Music & Arts is looking for a progressive and creative sales leader to serve as Vice President of Store Operations. Reporting to the President of Music & Arts, the Vice President will be accountable for driving national sales and services objectives while fostering a multi-channel sales culture. The position is responsible for directing expansion of sales offerings in existing and new markets, overseeing stores and lessons teams, stores and lessons support teams, special projects and initiatives. The Vice President of Store Operations must bring a servant-leader mindset to develop staff members, and be a dynamic and accountable cross-functional partner to enterprise leadership.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

Organization Leadership

• Establish M&A strategy for Stores, Lessons, In Store Rental Growth and Sales Operations
• As a member of the M&A Leadership team, establish priorities and programs necessary to deliver organizational results
• Ensure that teams have clear tactical plans and workload direction
• Establish and execute an effective communication process for the field teams and the M&A organization.

People Leadership

• Oversee Stores, Lessons, and Sales Operations teams
• Manage & develop a team of leaders, supporting the growth of associates within the department

Results Leadership

• Manage and deliver results in Stores, Lessons and in store rental growth at a national level
• Communicate results to the M&A Leadership team and Guitar Center Management Committee
• Perform additional duties as assigned

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

• Bachelor's degree is required, preferable in Music, Education, Business or similar
• Valid state driver's license
• 14 years of relevant work experience (in addition to degree)
• 5 years of retail sales management experience, preferably in the Retail/Music segment
• Skilled understanding of sales channel processes, policies and procedures.
• Skilled understanding of retail sales application and systems such as POS and ecommerce
