Associate Specialist (Dr. Davide Ruggero Lab)
An Associate Specialist position is currently available for immediate employment in the lab of Dr. Davide Ruggero at the University of California, San Francisco in the Helen Diller Family Cancer Research Building (at the Mission Bay campus). Research will involve understanding the molecular mechanisms by which translational control of distinct classes of mRNAs establish the proteome in normal and cancer cells. This includes how specific translation factors control gene expression at the post-transcriptional level and, that when deregulated, leads to distinct cancer types. The candidate will have the opportunity to publish their research in preeminent scientific journals such as Cell, Nature, Cancer Cell, and Molecular Cell.
