CTSI Employees

The Diagnostic Physicist will monitor Diagnostic and Nuclear Medicine Physics/Radiation Safety programs for hospitals, clinics, physician/dental practices, and non-clinical facilities, which involve the use of radiation machines, radioactive materials, and clinical imaging systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and licenses and ACR accredited facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys and quality assurance testing of imaging units:
    • Radiography
    • Fluoroscopy
    • CT
    • Mammography
    • MRI
    • Gamma Cameras
    • Ultrasound
  • Conduct nuclear medicine surveys for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Licensing for Radioactive Materials Licenses.
  • Perform X-ray shielding evaluations.
  • Perform patient dose assessments, fetal, and otherwise.
  • Performs area surveys for linacs and x-ray facilities.
  • Performs Policy and Procedure reviews for client facilities.
  • Remains current in state regulations, NRC regulations, joint commission standards, and ACR accreditation standards.
  • Other duties as assigned are consistent with and in support of your scope of practice.
  • Responsible for remaining current with scope of practice defined by your credentialing and professional licensing organizations and/or adhering to the scope of practice as defined in your job description.

Qualifications:

  • May require some travel up to 50%
  • Certification indiagnostic radiological physics by the American Board of Radiology is preferred
  • Masters or equivalent degree in Medical Physics, Radiological Physics, or related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years clinical experience

Position must have full access to Varian client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Varian employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) Annual TB testing Healthcare training

The base pay range for this position is

Min $142,200 - Max $255,900

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
