Director of Product Marketing - FortiGuard Services

Fortinet is looking to fill a role for the Director of Product Marketing for FortiGuard Services. FortiGuard services consist of 20 or so specialized individual services that provide our Fabric connected products with all the latest threat information and mitigation information. This information is derived from millions of sensors, threat feeds, third parties and the like, and it's the role of FortiGuard Labs to assemble thin in a meaningful way to our products. We're looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy individual who is prepared to craft a great set of messages, and to work those messages to great effect. This is a rewarding role in team of seasoned product marketers, specializing in this field.

The role will be expected to:

  • Work with product management and marketing to develop a successful product messaging strategy:
    • Develop a compelling value proposition for your products with sustainable competitive advantage
    • Develop appropriate launches and go-to-market models for your products
    • Provide direction for customer communications and press releases.
    • Create content for sales activities, including data sheets, presentations, brochures, videos, web tools.
  • Track competitors to ensure proper positioning of your products and ensure you have the right strategy to beat them
  • Conduct regular market analysis and demonstrate thorough understanding of technology trends, competitive updates, channel performance, pricing and user requirements.
  • Monitors revenue and initiates actions to achieve targets. Actively engages with the sales organizations to understand market acceptance, develop sales plans, and understand feature/performance enhancements needed to maintain the product in the market over time.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have the following qualifications but more importantly be passionate, energetic, and optimistic at heart. Expect to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • 7+ year's experience, minimally 5 years in Product Marketing, Product Management, Marketing.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity market and Threat protection technologies and how they work
  • Skillful verbal and writing abilities and effective presentation skills a must.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with people at all technical levels, all management levels, and with sales organizations.
  • Ability to synthesize information from various sources to form own opinion and gain support from others.
  • Proven track record of driving product messaging out to sales, channel and customers
  • BS/BA minimum, MBA or related Master's degree preferred.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $150,000 - $210,000. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion.
