Job Responsibilities:

• This person will participate in the development and maintenance of the existing and next-generation firewall product suite.
• The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of core platform modules of the appliances.
• The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the software development life cycle for the applicable projects, including gathering requirements, design, implementation and deployment.
• This position requires software development skills focusing on embedded systems, system administration, scalability and performance.
• Ownership of significant areas of the code for both new feature/functionality development as well as maintenance/redesign of the existing areas of the products.
• Continuous focus and contribution in the areas of performance, availability & scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the product

Job Requirements:

• C programming on Linux environment
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP protocol is a plus.
• Good knowledge of network security is a plus.
• Good knowledge of the Linux kernel is a plus.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal)and presentation skills.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or advanced in CS, EE or similar fields.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$150,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
