Reports To

Global Director, Sales Enablement

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for our value-added resellers and distribution partners on ChargePoint solutions and segments. You will facilitate conversations and training sessions virtually, onsite and at ChargePoint Headquarters with our Channel partners to ensure they are experts in the electric vehicle charging industry. You will be on the forefront of electric vehicle (EV) charging with the leader in the EV charging industry, ChargePoint.


What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to convert complex concepts into understandable and relatable information
  • A deep understanding of the sales process
  • An ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills in both a virtual and in person environment
  • Ability to travel within North America and occasionally to Europe
  • Ability to design and deliver training content via PowerPoint
  • Work with Channel organization to create a certification program for Channel salespeople
  • Continually work to ensure all training materials are consistent and up-to-date and in line with products and larger organizational initiatives
  • Present training materials using a variety of instructional techniques, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, presentations, videos, podcasts, and other creative techniques
  • Work cross functionally with sales leadership, marketing, product, and systems teams to align training goals
  • Develop assessments to measure the effectiveness of the curriculum and learner performance in Sales
  • Track training data, report on metrics, and provide feedback and recommendations on how we move forward with training for sales roles.
  • Summarize and share data through regular reports and presentations to the sales leadership team
  • Work with internal teams to increase awareness of learning programs
  • Create weekly, monthly, quarterly training programs to keep sales learning
  • Create and maintain annual calendar for your assigned training lane

Requirements

The Trainer role requires a combination of technical expertise, teaching skills and strong interpersonal abilities. Here are the critical skills necessary for success in this role:


  • 5+ years of years of experience in channel enablement, sales enablement or customer-facing training and development
  • Technically adept in translating complex products and solutions
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, channel management and partner ecosystems
  • Ability to distinguish between customer and partner value propositions and create content focused on what's in it for the partner
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing successful training programs
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation abilities, as well as a talent for fostering strong interpersonal relations
  • Passion for emerging markets, the EV space, and associated trends
  • 25-35% travel may be required
  • Experience developing full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, facilitate, monitor, and evaluate)

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $47,250 to $115,073. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
