As a Defectivity control Engineer for electron beam system , You will work on issues that impact leading chip manufacturer product yield loss issue and address e-beam future platform design concept, products , technologies. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices inChandler Arizona, San Jose and San Diego California, Wilton Connecticut, and Hillsboro Oregon.

Role and responsibilities

  • Develop defectivity requirement to ensure the functionality, performance, serviceability and availability for high-voltage electron beam systems and subsystems.

  • Design modules/concepts/processes to ensure the defectivity requirement is fully controlled, and to stabilize the high-voltage environment of the system.

  • Validate the designed modules/concepts/processes through experiments, modeling and simulation and theories.

  • Work cross-functionally and drive implementation of design best practices into product design.

  • Deliver clear technical documents, provide effective presentation and written evaluations to communicate concepts, designs, test results, etc.

  • Provide tech support for system integration process, manufacturing process and field troubleshooting process.

Education and experience

  • BA, MSc related to Materials Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics, Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience

Skills

  • Must have good understanding of Physics, Materials Science and Electrical Engineering.

  • Strong knowledge in electrostatic discharge (ESD) and how to prevent or optimize ESD from the view of materials science, arc physics or high-voltage device design.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experiments experience with strong design-of-experiments (DOE) skills to plan, conduct, analyze, and interpret results of controlled tests.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with high-voltage devices including but not limited to electrical contacts, insulator, conductor, etc.,.

  • 2+ years' experience in materials characterization instruments and data analysis, including but not limited to optical inspection, SEM, EDX, FTIR, etc.

  • Teamwork spirit with team members

  • Good capability to evaluate and work outside contractors, consultants, and machine shops.

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Other information

Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

The California base annual salary / hourly range for this role is currently $102,375.00 -170,625.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and
