WS Cross function Art Team is a dynamic team of talented, print and digital marketing designers and production artists. We work closely with our editorial counterparts to make our print (catalog and retail), website, emails, app and digital assets come alive. We also collaborate closely with our cross-functional partners in eCom, Development, Brand Marketing and Photo Studio to name a few! About the Role

This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of both a Senior Digital Designer and a UX/UI Designer. As a digital design expert, you will be instrumental in creating visually appealing digital assets, landing pages, and graphics for our digital products. Main part of this role is the maintenance and evolution of our design system, demanding technical proficiency to craft user interfaces that seamlessly communicate information, facilitate user interactions, and elevate the overall user experience (UX). Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will adeptly translate user needs and business objectives into intuitive, user-centric designs.

This is a hybrid role - 4 days/week in our San Francisco office required.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft visually engaging digital designs for web and mobile platforms while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with creative directors, UX designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into user-friendly designs.
  • Develop design systems and component libraries in Figma to ensure consistency and scalability across all digital products.
  • Incorporate accessibility principles and best practices into design solutions to ensure that digital products are usable and inclusive for users with disabilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital design.
  • Mentor designers and provide constructive feedback to help them grow professionally.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and provide support during the development process.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our design processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in design tools such as Figma, After Affects or similar.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design processes and methodologies.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Strong understanding of design principles.
  • Understanding of website design and website accessibility.
  • Basic coding skills.
  • Ability to present design concepts and explain their uses and function.
  • Photo and video editing skills.
  • UX/UI design skills.
  • Graphic design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take direction and interpret brand guidelines.
  • Ability to multitask and work under deadlines.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in design, graphic design, art or a related field.
  • Solid portfolio of design work and mockups for websites, marketing materials and more.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
