Job Summary
Working with the Senior Director for Academic Affairs in the School of Medicine (SOM), the Project Manager and Academic Personnel Analyst is a key member of the SOM Faculty and Academic Affairs office. This position focuses on developing, administering, and communicating new programs (i.e., related to compensation plan, professional development, wellness, advancement/promotions, faculty awards, outside professional activities, navigate interpersonal challenges, etc.) and processes that are aligned with the school's strategic goals. The Project Manager and Academic Personnel Analyst will seamlessly liaise between SOM departments, the Vice and Associate Deans and staff of Faculty & Academic Affairs, and HR regarding faculty advancement, compensation, development and wellness. The position will take a school-wide view to maximize positive impact of projects (i.e., improving onboarding experience or consistency in administering programs/awards supporting faculty develop) ensure effective use of resources, facilitate the sharing of best practices, and support organization-wide consistency and equity.
Additionally, the Project Manager and Academic Personnel Analyst will also help resolve moderate to complex academic HR issues in policy compliant manner, manage faculty awards, and oversee the Faculty Salary Equity Report. The ideal candidate is someone who places a premium on resourcefulness, receptiveness, accuracy and timeliness; and uses advanced operational concepts and objectives to resolve highly complex issues. The Project Manager and Academic Personnel Analyst will regularly work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and will need to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Other duties are assigned as necessary to support the School's mission.
