As a result of expansion and investment in our Automotive Industry Practice, Hitachi Digital Services is looking to hire a results-oriented Sales Account Executive with a strong vertical and business aptitude.

As a Sales Account Executive, you'll play a key role in the success of your customers by sourcing, managing, and growing a select automotive manufacturing client cluster and positioning Hitachi Digital Services as a strategic digital technology services partner of choice, identifying opportunities and avenues to sell new consulting service offerings and solutions.

Your expertise in the automotive manufacturing industry means you'll be adept at establishing and managing client relationships with key decision makers and building trust by understanding your client's business goals to deliver successful outcomes.

With your exemplary sales and account management skills, professional/technology services experience, and a deep appreciation of digital/IT tools, techniques, systems, and solutions, you'll be able to work with cross-functional teams to ensure your client's goals are being achieved through first-class service delivery.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Leading sales and solution development with Automotive OEM and Tier 1/Tier 2 customers with full accountability for engagement and relationship management.
  • Driving the sales cycle including opportunity identification, scoping, proposal development, Statement of Work production and contracting.
  • Understanding Hitachi Digital Services and offerings and identifying matching client needs.
  • Building and expanding relationships with key customer business stakeholders to uncover opportunities for revenue generation and account growth and establish the role as a thought leader.
  • Bringing automotive manufacturing industry expertise to our clients.

What you'll bring:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a client-facing sales role in IT professional services or consulting (ERP, Data/Analytics, IoT).
  • Demonstrated expertise and a strong network within the automotive manufacturing industry in Michigan or Ohio.
  • A strong background in a program/project and managed services environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively along vertical and horizontal planes internally and within client organizations.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage and maintain all facets of complex assignments.
  • A proven track record in building long-term client relationships through the creation of value and developing a strong reference base.

Qualifications
:
  • A deep knowledge of the automotive manufacturing domain and innovation in industrial areas, including understanding the competitive landscape
  • Able to anticipate technology and market trends and provide guidance and feedback to the business.
  • A proven track record in building long-term client relationships through the creation of value and developing a strong reference base.
  • Able to deliver high levels of client satisfaction and client engagement.
  • A resident of Michigan or Ohio, preferably in or around Detroit, MI or Columbus, OH.

The expected base salary for this position is $150k - $175k base + commissions up to $1M .


The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Service's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
