Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys.

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Manager will responsibilities include any of the following activities related to the receiving, storing, and/or shipping of materials or finished goods: ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development,and performance management of the staff.

Nature of Duties Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to, activities related to the receiving, storing, and/or shipping of materials or finished goods.
  • Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are placed in proper inventory locations, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct such as materials certificates, First Article Inspection documents, etc.
  • Ensures the security, accuracy, and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control.
  • Ensures materials are picked and kitted, and are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules.
  • Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures.
  • Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities.
  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing and distributing of metals and purchased parts, and assist with and perform other material handling duties.
  • Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
  • Lifts heavy items and operate a forklift (standing up, sitting down rider, and hand pallet jack).
  • Examines stock and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Follows all company and facility policies including quality, safety, conduct and attendance.

Education and Experience:

  • BS Degree preferred or High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience managing all aspects of handling materials including receiving, inventory control, shipping, and managing logistics personnel.
  • Candidate must be proficient with Oracle and Microsoft Office
  • Crating experience preferred
  • Packaging experience preferred
  • FedEx, UPS, International shipments, and commercial invoices experience preferred
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player and capable of interacting with multiple groups both internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Must be flexible with schedule changes and work extended hours when required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Salary Range (annual): $100,000 - $135,000
