In leading Strategic Finance:

  • Your work will be highly visible to Datavant leadership, instrumental to realizing Datavant's business aspirations, and will drive impact to the business
  • You will partner with the CFO of the Life Science division, executive leadership and cross-functional leaders including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Strategy
  • You will contribute critical financial insight to drive M&A, commercial and product strategy, divisional performance measurement, and other key strategic and business decisions

What you bring to the table:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in strategic finance at a high growth company and/or investment banking with strong financial modeling skills
  • Demonstrated experience driving new initiatives by collaborating with and influencing multiple cross-functional partners
  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners and executives; you are seen as a trusted and objective advisor
  • Sound business judgment and ability to bring clarity through business insights based on deep analytical rigor
  • Ability to proactively seek out opportunities to analyze business problems, make recommendations, and translate complex concepts into actionable insights
  • Ability to quickly internalize the nuances of complex financial agreements and support the sales team and leadership in negotiations throughout the customer cycle
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with a "roll up your sleeves" mentality
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and maintain high performance under tight timelines
  • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of corporate finance and working knowledge of GAAP

What you'll do:

  • Evaluate and advise on deals and business cases through financial modeling and analysis, analytical insights, and benchmarking
  • Work with cross-functional partners, including Sales, Product, Treasury Finance, Accounting, and other Finance and Strategy teams, to develop core business models and processes
  • Own the financial implications of the entire customer lifecycle, becoming a trusted partner to the Sales team as they contemplate new contract structures
  • Develop strategic insights across a portfolio of customers and identify potential long-term strategic or optimization opportunities
  • Support the development of financial frameworks, metrics, and reporting to provide observability of key metrics and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Design and provide analytical rigor to measure efficiency and ROI of investments
  • Drive continuous process improvement, standardization, simplification and reporting enhancements

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is $150,000-$220,000.
