Job Overview

The Quality Control Environmental Manager position is responsible for the quality management program and assures that subcontractors implement a quality control management program, which meets the contract requirements. The incumbent independently administers the quality control management program and reports directly to senior corporate management independent of any site management. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of the ISO compliance and the establishment of internal processes/controls and environment programs. This position has full authority to coordinate the rework of non-conforming work and has full responsibility for assuring performance objectives and standards identified in this contract are met.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Control (QC) for the contract and ensure compliant performance.
  • Develop a QC Plan (QCP) that includes methods to measure, track, analyze, report performance trends, root cause analysis of deficiencies, implement corrective actions, and provide follow up.
  • Maintain inspection documents and submit monthly quality control metrics.
  • Provide analyses including corrective or preventive actions and results and submit proposed corrective actions to bring performance to established metrics and standards.
  • Ensure contract quality control and contract performance review.
  • Conduct inspections of all contract functions to insure compliance with the PWS.
  • Ensure all environmental training is attended by contractor personnel and is properly documented.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee all environmental management plans and programs.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with installation, Air Force, state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Ensure all documents, records, permits and other environmental data required by state, federal, local regulations, as well as the contract, are maintained.
  • Oversee QC Inspectors.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:
  • Four year degree, Bachelor's, at ABET University.
  • Prior to hiring, the following certifications must be completed: OSHA Training Certification and Environmental Compliance Certification.
  • Five (5) years of experience in quality management.
  • Must have Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience in employing quality control program of choice.
  • Ability to perform quantitative analyses.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for quality control.
  • Knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work.
  • Ability to develop policy, procedures, operating guidance and/or training as related to federal or military environmental programs and instructions.
  • Broad background in environmental science and management with knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of applicable Government environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suit.
  • Possess the following certifications: OSHA Training. Certification(s) and Environmental Compliance Certification(s)
  • Training as a site supervisor for spill cleanup in accordance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations 29 CFR 191.
  • 40 hours of hazardous waste management training.
  • 16-hour course in hazardous material transportation that is verifiable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government National Agency Check (NAC) clearance and/or security clearance if required.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record pertinent to this position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
