The Job/What You'll Do:

The Senior Manager, Lending Product Strategy and Management will work as a member of the Cash and Lending Solutions team of AssetMark, Inc. In this capacity, the Senior Manager will partner with the team and work with senior management to define vision, scope, and roadmap for AssetMark's suite of lending products and solutions.

The Senior Manager will drive product development through strategy/ideation, research and design, and the final implementation that includes product positioning, sales training and campaign management. In this role, the Senior Manager will leverage their solid understanding of lending products and industry dynamics to drive new product development that helps financial advisors address their client's credit and liquidity needs.

This position will require you to develop compelling business cases to help inform business decisions for high-priority projects and new product initiatives.

This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business case development with supporting analytics, competitive research, market opportunity sizing, and conduct financial modeling and assessments of other key quantitative or qualitative attributes for new product development
  • Develop subject matter expertise in lending business, understand the competitive landscape and offerings in terms of lending product trends, usage and pricing
  • Create and maintain a forward-looking product and services roadmap, drive new initiatives and support product launch activities including positioning and distribution strategy
  • Own the complete product life cycle, ensuring it remains competitive and meets long-term strategic direction as well as operational and financial objectives while always emphasizing the overall client experience
  • Manage the product pipeline and support planning including, but not limited to, product rationalization and enhancements, product pricing, and profitability analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to support new launches and platform functionalities associated with our suite of lending products
  • Educate and engage with AssetMark's sales team and financial advisors on new lending solutions and use cases to drive adoption

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills with ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative approaches to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Highly proficient using Microsoft Suite (I.E. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Understanding of financial services industry, particularly lending products and wealth management solutions; experience in supporting financial advisors is highly desired
  • Proven aptitude to conduct competitive market and product research, including market sizing and product pricing
  • Experience in leading and implementing major initiatives and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are required
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline -driven environment
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills and able to present effectively to senior management and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand operational and technical complexity, think creatively and strategically to problem solve in order to meet business objectives and client needs
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or CFA preferred
  • Relevant experience in product management, research, or analytic roles within financial services, asset management, banking, Broker-Dealer, TAMP, or RIA preferred.

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $130,000-$150,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.

This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
