Our Construction Services Business Unit focuses on a variety of construction services to complement standard and numerous alternative project delivery methods, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), design-build, design-build-operate, design-build-own-operate, and construction management at risk. We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Business Unit in Daytona Beach, FL.

Responsibilities include serving as an on-site project representative assisting with field surveying and construction layout activities; performing engineering computations; inspecting construction work including conducting field tests, verifying field measurements, tracking and calculating quantities, and verifying elevations; monitoring construction and documenting conformance with contract documents and applicable standards; receiving, resolving, and responding to field concerns within area of knowledge/expertise; monitoring contractor-provided documents; attending meetings with clients and contractors. This position requires heavy lifting, working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis, and ability to perform work independently. Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position; a valid driver's license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required.

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • At least two applicable certifications

AND one of the following:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
  • An associate degree in construction management or related field plus at least two years of relevant experience
  • No degree plus at least four years of relevant experience

Ideal candidates will have any/all of the following:

  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1 certification
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level 1 certification
  • FDOT Intermediate or Advanced MOT certification
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety certification
  • CTQP final estimates level 1 certification
  • IMSA traffic signal inspector level 1 certification
  • Florida stormwater, erosion, and sediment control certification
  • ACI concrete field-testing technician certification
  • CTQP concrete field inspector level 1 certification
  • CTQP asphalt roadway level 2 certification
  • CTQP earthwork construction inspection level 2 certification
