Job Description

The Gist

The Recruiting Coordinator takes initiative to manage and drive new ideas and programs for attracting and retaining talent. The Recruiting Coordinator demonstrates a proactive & strategic approach to growing our team, thinks creatively and holistically to support overall Lagunitas growth, and connects new hires with our culture. Target Compensation range between $31-36/hr with an expected 40 hours/week.

Anticipated Start Date: June 2024

Anticipated End Date: November 1st, 2024 (Tentative)

What You'll Do

Recruitment - administrative support (25-75% of time)

  • Assists with all aspects of recruitment for open positions, to include:
    • Collaborating with Corporate Recruiter, to ensure candidates and hiring managers receive support and clarification on processes
    • Posting open positions
    • Assisting with intake meetings with hiring manager
    • Screening resumes
      • Understands applicant requirements by familiarizing self with job description and requirements.
      • Maintains contact with possible future candidates through the creation of a candidate pipeline for positions that are commonly open.
    • Coordinating interviews with hiring manager & candidates
    • Extending job offer to candidate (in writing & potential verbal)
      • Monitors job offers and compensation practices
      • Emphasizes benefits and perks
    • Utilizing our ATS, through each step in the process

Recruitment - full cycle support (0%-25% of the time)

  • Manages all aspects of recruitment for open positions (primarily hourly positions), to include:
    • Collaborating with Corporate Recruiter, to ensure candidates and hiring managers receive support and clarification on processes
    • Posting open positions
    • Conducting intake meetings with hiring manager
      • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers, screening applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
    • Screening resumes
      • Understands applicant requirements by familiarizing self with job description and requirements.
      • Maintains contact with possible future candidates through the creation of a candidate pipeline for positions that are commonly open.
    • Generating interview templates
    • Completing phone interviews
    • Coordinating interviews with hiring manager & candidates
    • Extending job offer to candidate (in writing & verbal)
      • Monitors job offers and compensation practices
      • Emphasizes benefits and perks
    • Utilizing our ATS, through each step in the process

People Team Support (25% of the time)

    • Supports People Team with applicant, candidate and requisition recordkeeping, to include:
      • Updating the ATS
      • Maintaining recruitment spreadsheets
      • Monitoring recruitment candidate sources (internal and external)
    • Fields applicant and hiring manager inquires, within 24 business hours.
    • Maintains all pertinent applicant data in the ATS.
    • Supports all areas of People Team with specific projects within key areas including People Operations and Client-Facing HR.
    • Protects Lagunitas values through maintaining confidentiality and ensuring private information is stored properly and securely.
    • Ensures execution, implementation, application and management of HR policies, regulations, procedures, systems and tools, in collaboration with People Department.
    • Other projects and duties as assigned.

What We're Lookin' For

Must Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of recruitment or recruiting coordination experience required.
  • Operate with a sense of urgency, based on business need to fill open positions.
    • Experience prioritizing multiple activities and tasks whilst simultaneously managing your work time.
  • Experience working autonomously with recruiting partners and business leaders.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources and recruitment best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Interest and experience in providing proactive solutions, when potential conflicts present themselves.
  • Keen eye and attention to detail to ensure positive and consistent candidate experience.
  • Strong conflict management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Comfortable navigating an ATS and HRIS.

Nice to Haves

  • HR experience in support of consumer-packaged goods.
  • Experience evaluating resumes/skills
  • Experience working on an HR team.
  • Experience with behavioral interviewing techniques.
  • Bilingual - Spanish, English.
  • Passion for Lagunitas and the beer business.

Key Relationships

  • Reports to Corporate Recruiter.
  • Dotted line to HR Business partner for assigned business unit.
  • Collaboration with all departments within the organization to fill open positions.
  • Partner with HR Operations team & Learning and Development Manager to complete Joiner process.

Physical Stuff

  • Able to use a computer, keyboard, and cell phone.
  • Work environment is primarily indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
  • Hybrid work schedule (Tues, Thurs + 1 day of choice) in the office.
  • Available and working during standard business hours.
