Job Summary
The Surgical Training Facility at the Orthopaedic Trauma Institute is dedicated to the development and presentation of innovative medical, science and health workshops. Our facility is among a select few academic centers in the U.S. designed exclusively for Orthopaedic specialists to practice and perform today's newest and most advanced surgical procedures. Workshops are presented in full or half-day courses to train Orthopaedic Surgeons in skills related to joint arthroscopy, ligament repair, orthopaedic trauma, joint resurfacing and replacement and spine surgery.
Specifically, assigned projects will include lab preparations for surgical training sessions, handling cadaveric specimens, surgical draping, and instrumentation set-up. Cleaning up after a surgical lab involves meticulous attention to detail to ensure proper sanitation to prevent contamination.
The employee will utilize the standard protocols of a gross anatomy lab, operating room, and sterile processing; maintain the cleanliness of the lab, restock laboratory supplies and equipment, and carry out other lab-related duties assigned by the Facility Manager and/or the Facility Coordinator.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
