Job Description Summary: The Application Administrator II uses problem solving skills, proven techniques and standard procedures to enhance or change an application or system to facilitate business outcomes. They understand business functions related to the application and assists in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user. They have the ability to translate user needs into system behaviors and are able to learn new content areas of vendor applications quickly and teach them to users. Without assistance, they are able to independently make modifications to application modules, configurations, or behaviors by following agile processes. By working closely with users and supporting teams, they are responsible for the overall health of the system, which includes uptime, reliability and performance. This role has direct contact with application vendors to ensure support and functional business needs are met.
Key to the role is excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of the functionality of the applications in their care.

Job Description
  • Demonstrate understanding of the business workflow and process requirements within complex applications. Interacts with users to collect and evaluate effectiveness of vendor products and be able to summarize and document areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to efforts to implement application updates to include upgrades, patches, and new releases. Help ensure systems will operate correctly in current and future environments. Test, debug, implement, and document related changes to programs.
  • Able to maintain application changes in a designated version control tool where required. May program in an application specific administrative language. Able to support and use application integration tools allowing for the seamless transmission of data from disparate systems, both for operational and reporting purposes.
  • Display and execute logical and complex troubleshooting methods. Interface directly and independently with the software vendors for any necessary application bug resolution or application maintenance issues.
  • Identifies errors and determines source of problems and necessary corrective actions. Performs workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
  • Maintain application health by developing and publishing maintenance schedules.
  • Documents and communicates operating procedures for application changes and solutions. Develop and maintain the reporting and dashboard infrastructure for designated applications for the organization where needed. Generate basic reports and business intelligence queries as needed to fulfill business requests.
  • Develops and administers the processes and procedures associated with implementing and introducing modifications to be made in system software, system configuration or system procedures.
  • Provide support in Quality Assurance testing. This includes collaborating on the authoring of test cases to verify logic of new or modified programs as well as testing of recovery plans.
  • Communicates business information, technical information and developments to users and technical staff in both verbal and written form; provides or coordinates feedback to management and/or users on all open issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years' relevant experience in Message Broker/ACE required.
  • Intermediate SQL knowledge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft productivity tools.
  • Intermediate customer service and problem-solving skills, be a good listener and work well with others.
  • Moderate experience with Healthcare concepts,
  • Moderate experience with preparing technical and configuration documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience in EDI Transactions.
  • Experience in PowerShell.
  • Experience generating and documenting requirements and/or user stories and documenting work/code with process workflows, architecture diagrams, and design documents.
  • Strong customer services and problem-solving skills. Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with others.
  • Ability to learn new content areas of vendor applications quickly
